Is DeFeo Manufacturing ISO-9001 certified?
DeFeo is Mil-Spec certified which meets all government standards for companies serving the automotive industry. DeFeo Manufacturing is currently not ISO-9001 certified, but is currently seeking the latest ISO certification.
How do DeFeo Manufacturing's new replacement parts compare to Allison Replacement parts?
DeFeo Manufacturing's parts are made from reverse engineering. We design parts that work properly in the areas of form, function, and reliability. All achieved thanks to the state of the art CAD/CAM machinery and the certified ASTM material used by DeFeo.
Is DeFeo Manufacturing the OEM manufacturer?
DeFeo Manufacturing is NOT the OEM manufacturer.
Can DeFeo Manufacturing refurbish my Allison Transmission Cases?
DeFeo can refurbish transmission cases for most Allison Series Transmission.
Can DeFeo Manufacturing refurbish my part?
DeFeo can refurbish many parts for All Allison Series, please call today or e-mail us to find out if the part you have is repairable. DeFeo cannot repair gaskets, seals, bearings, bushings, or O'rings…but do carry many new ones to replace yours.
How does DeFeo Manufacturing test and compare their parts?
DeFeo tests parts structure and composition in certified metallurgic laboratories. We test durability, function, and performance on industry used transmissions and dynamometers.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing use metal spraying techniques when rebuilding parts?
DeFeo does not use metal spraying in any such way or form. We consider it hazardous to both the part and the transmission. Over a period of time metal wears and begins to flake off causing particles to get into transmission fluids and filters.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing have a minimum order requirement since they are the manufacturer?
DeFeo does have a $20 minimum order.

Does DeFeo Manufacturing stock many parts?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing stocks over 10,000 parts in stock. We stock all types including DeFeo New, Allison New, Refurbished parts, and Good Used Parts for many on and off-highway Allison Transmissions.
Can DeFeo Manufacturing ship me a refurbished part without having my core?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing stocks swing cores so that we can ship the same day you need the part. DeFeo will bill you a separate core charge and then credit your account upon receiving and examining your returned core. We are also able to sell you refurbished parts even if you don’t have a core, you will just be subject to the core charge associated with that part.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing sell New Allison Original Parts too?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing stocks some Allison Original parts as well in our inventory. DeFeo Manufacturing is often purchasing other companies inventories, and it always expanding it Allison Product line. Please ask your sales representative today for more details.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing offer Good Used Parts?
Yes, DeFeo offers many Good Used Allison Parts.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing sell refurbished parts outright (Without my core)?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing has many refurbished parts available for outright sale.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing sell bearings?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing is a distributor for the leading bearings companies in the industry like Timken Corporation
Does DeFeo Manufacturing sell complete transmission cores?
Yes, we stock a full line of complete transmission cores to sell. Most are takeout units, either on or off-highway.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing rebuild the actual transmissions?
No, DeFeo Manufacturing does not rebuild the whole transmission assemblies, but can point you in the direction of a qualified and reliable transmission Repair Company.

Does DeFeo Manufacturing pick-up and deliver?
DeFeo Manufacturing picks up for free anywhere in the Northeast and Delivers at a cost of no more than $50 an order…(Special Circumstances may require additional delivery Fee)
Does DeFeo Manufacturing offer distribution deals with companies outside the United States?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing will consider distribution deals with companies in countries outside the USA. Each will be subject to their own review based on many criteria.
Will DeFeo Manufacturing Drop Ship my order?
Yes, DeFeo manufacturing will drop ship orders.

Are DeFeo Manufacturing's new parts less expensive than Original Allison Parts?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing offers parts up anywhere from 10 - 90% less expensive than OEM parts.
Are DeFeo Manufacturing's refurbished parts less expensive than Original Allison Parts?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing's refurbished parts tend to be substantially lower in price than compared to a NEW ALLISON OEM Part.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing take credit cards?
DeFeo Manufacturing now offers our customers the option to pay via MasterCard or Visa with no additional charge.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing offer quantity discounts?
Yes, Depending on the item…DeFeo Manufacturing will offer quantity discounts on certain items. DeFeo Manufacturing also offers discounts on annual blanket orders of significant value.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing cover freight charges?
No, unless previously agreed upon under special circumstances, all shipments are F.O.B. Brookfield, Connecticut. DeFeo typically ships all packages prepaid and add via UPS. We are capable of shipping with all major carriers if you have an account with them or request them.
Does DeFeo Manufacturing charge for delivery?
Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing due to the increase in gas & tolls throughout the tri-state are charges for delivery. Delivery Charge is 4% the total Invoice value up to $1,500. Any Invoice or combination of invoices exceeding $1,500 is charge a maximum of $50. There is a minimum delivery charge of $20. For example, if your invoice for delivery totaled $900.00 …your delivery charge would be 4% of that or $36.00. If your invoice totaled $5200.00 your delivery charge would be only $50.00!
Does DeFeo Manufacturing charge for a pick-up?
No, pick up are generally free of charge except for special circumstance to which we will be going out of our way or carrying extremely heavy loads. Then a pick up charge may be added to the bill.

About Definitions and Terminology
What does a "Good Used Part" mean?
A “Good Used Part” is a part that has been taken out of an Allison transmission and has shown no sign that it cannot be re-used again in its current condition.
What does a “Refurbished “, “Re-built Part" or "Re-manufactured Part" mean?
Any part for Allison Transmissions that has been refurbished and restored back to a condition where it will function properly again.
