About ManufacturingIs DeFeo Manufacturing ISO-9001 certified?DeFeo is Mil-Spec certified which meets all government standards for companies serving the automotive industry. DeFeo Manufacturing is currently not ISO-9001 certified, but is currently in the evaluation process. How do DeFeo Manufacturing's new replacement parts compare to Allison Replacement parts?DeFeo Manufacturing's new parts meet or exceed Allison Replacement parts in all areas including material specifications, durability, function ability and reliability. All achieved thanks to the state of the art CAD/CAM machinery and certified ASTM material used by DeFeo. Is DeFeo Manufacturing the OEM manufacturer?DeFeo Manufacturing is not the OEM manufacturer. Can DeFeo Manufacturing rebuild my Allison Transmission Cases?DeFeo can rebuild transmission cases for almost any Allison Series Transmission back to it's OEM specifications. Can DeFeo Manufacturing rebuild my part?DeFeo can rebuild many parts for All Allison Series, please call today or e-mail us to find out if the part you have is rebuild able. DeFeo cannot rebuild gaskets, seals, bearings, or O'rings…but do carry many new ones to replace yours. How does DeFeo Manufacturing test and compare their parts?DeFeo tests parts structure and composition in metallurgic laboratories and durability and performance on industry used transmissions and dynamometers. Does DeFeo Manufacturing use metal spraying techniques when rebuilding parts?DeFeo does not use metal spraying in any such way or form. We consider it hazardous to both the part and the transmission. Over a period of time metal wears and begins to flake off causing particles to get into transmission fluids and filters. Does DeFeo Manufacturing have a minimum order requirement since they are the manufacturer?DeFeo does not have any minimum order requirement on parts we stock. On the other hand developing a new part or custom part to fit your needs may or may not require a minimum order qty. About Parts and ServicesDoes DeFeo Manufacturing stock many parts?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing stocks over 10,000 new, surplus, and re-manufactured parts ready to ship. Can DeFeo Manufacturing ship me a re-manufactured part without having my core?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing stocks swing cores so that we can ship the same day you need the part. DeFeo will bill you a core charge and then credit your account upon receiving and examining your returned core. Does DeFeo Manufacturing rebuild the actual transmissions?No, DeFeo Manufacturing does not rebuild the whole transmission assemblies, but can point you in the direction of a qualified and reliable transmission Repair Company. Does DeFeo Manufacturing pick-up and deliver?DeFeo Manufacturing picks up for free anywhere in the Northeast and Delivers at a cost of no more than $50 an order…(Special Circumstances may require additional delivery Fee) Does DeFeo Manufacturing offer distribution deals with companies outside the United States?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing will work out distribution deals with companies in foreign countries, as long as there is no current distributor in that country already, New distributors are not allowed to sell to companies currently buying direct from DeFeo Manufacturing. Will DeFeo Manufacturing Drop Ship my order?Yes, DeFeo manufacturing will drop ship orders.
About PricingAre DeFeo Manufacturing's new parts less expensive than Original Allison Parts?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing offers parts up to 90% less expensive than OEM parts. Are DeFeo Manufacturing's re-manufactured parts less expensive than Original Allison Parts?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing's re-manufactured parts are substantially less expensive than replacing with an original new part. Some offer savings up to 85% less expensive. Does DeFeo Manufacturing take credit cards?DeFeo Manufacturing now offers our customers the option to pay via MasterCard or Visa with no additional charge. Does DeFeo Manufacturing offer quantity discounts?Yes, Depending on the item…DeFeo Manufacturing will offer quantity discounts on certain items. DeFeo Manufacturing also offers discounts on annual blanket orders of significant value. Does DeFeo Manufacturing cover freight charges?No, unless previously discussed or agreed upon under special circumstances, all shipments are F.O.B. Mount Kisco, New York. DeFeo typically ships all packages out of the area via UPS. Does DeFeo Manufacturing charge for delivery?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing due to the increase in gas & tolls throughout the tri-state are charges for delivery. Delivery Charge is 3% the total Invoice value up to $1,500. Any Invoice or combination of invoices exceeding $1,500 is charge a maximum of $50. There is a minimum delivery charge of $10. For example, if your invoice for delivery totaled $900.00 …your delivery charge would be 3% of that or $27.00. If your invoice totaled $5200.00 your delivery charge would be only $50.00! Does DeFeo Manufacturing charge for a pick-up?No, pick up are generally free of charge except for special circumstance to which we will be going out of our way or carrying extremely heavy loads. About Definitions and TerminologyWhat does a "Surplus Part" mean?A surplus part is an original Allison part that has been taken out of a good working Allison transmission. What does a "Re-built Part" or "Re-manufactured Part" mean?An Allison Original part that has been re-built and re-furbished back to its original specifications. Some include the additions of new parts added to them. About Part TypesDoes DeFeo Manufacturing sell New Allison Original Parts too?Yes, DeFeo Manufacturing, because of relationships with many Allison Dealers… offers Original Allison Parts as well as the DeFeo brand, up to 40% off OEM list price. DeFeo Manufacturing is often purchasing company inventories, and it always expanding it Allison Product line. Does DeFeo Manufacturing make the Clutch Plates it sells?No, DeFeo Manufacturing has partnerships and distributorships with companies who are making and/or used to make clutches for the Allison Transmission Company.
